Block of the Month Quilts

Block of the Month (BOM)

Normally these quilts take a year to make. You are provided a pattern or kit each month, and with the final pattern you normally get the setting and border instructions. Most are done block-by-block, but some are done in rows.

BOM opportunities can be found on-line, through catalogs, and often at local quilt shops. The ones displayed here were conducted through quilt shops in Texas prior to my move to the DC/Maryland area.

Santa Through the Year

Road to Kansas Sampler
Designed by Kansas Troubles Quilters;  Quilted by Richard Larson, Quilting Design Studio. Traditional piecing, needle-turn applique and dimensional applique. The pattern used all needle-turn applique, but that's not my favorite technique. So I improvised!
